Newly built homes, schools, and shopping centers provided an influx of families who wanted to reside in the suburbs. Major highways, notably Interstate 75, enabled access to Atlanta easily.
Throughout the latter half of the 20th century, East Cobb continued to grow and thrive. Good schools, safe neighborhoods, and family-oriented facilities described the communities. New subdivisions, parks, and recreation facilities were constructed to serve the increasingly vast population.
